Learning & Skills Solutions Pyefleet Week 2017

Day 3 Competitor Update

Welcome to CB Rigging Day (day 3) at Learmning & Skills Solutions Pyefleet Week 2017. Here is our Day 3 Update:

Firstly please note that there is an error in the printed Pyefleet Week Programme. The high tide time for tomorrow (Big Wednesday) is 14.11 (not 13.11 as published).

Racing

No particular reminders on the racing side today, but make sure you are prepared for potentially heavy and possibly stormy showers, particularly this afternoon.

Duties

We are very nearly sorted with the rescue boat duty roster but still have a few slots we must fill so if you aren’t already down please pop into the hut and put your name on the board.  Even if you are racing both sides you can still do a table moving duty at 17.30 each day.

Weather

The news from the Met Office isn’t very cheerful today. Winds will be predominantly fairly light and very shifty and this afternoon we can expect bands of rain to sweep through, some of which could be very heavy and possibly thundery and squally. Be prepared for all eventualities folks and good luck tacticians!

Admin

Again if you still have a Pyefleet Week perpetual Trophy please take it to Kathy in the race hut.

Social

Nigel and Jackie are looking forward to putting us through our mental paces at tonight’s Quiz Night. The evening kicks off with a chilli supper at 18.30 and the quiz will get underway from 19.30.

Sponsors

Today’s sponsor CB Rigging are well known to all BSC regulars as our go to rigging company. Managing Director Craig Bond is also the man who looks after our Tuesday Night Cadet, Wednesday Night Development, Friday Family Fun Tray Sailing and Regatta Try Sailing as well as being Principal of BSC’s Sailing School.  We have so many reasons to thank Craig so if you see him today please take a moment to show him our gratitude.

Results & Reports

The Day 2 results and report are now available to view online at www.pyefleetweek.com

Here’s hoping the rain stays away and we can enjoy another great day on the water.

Good sailing
