Pyefleet Week 2024 will take place from 4 to 9 August

Pyefleet Week is one of the UK's premier family dinghy and day boat regattas. The regatta offers six days of sailing for all from Olympic class dinghies to classic day boats, and welcomes all levels of ability.

The competitors include a cross section of sailors from Olympic medallists, World, European, National and Youth Champions to weekend warriors, cadets, and complete beginners. There are committee boat starts for the main racing classes and starts from the Club line in the shelter of the creek for cadets.

We sail on the Colne Estuary, which provides sheltered sea sailing great for racing or cruising. We can sail at any state of the tide and the Club has safe and easy launching via its own ramp into Brightlingsea Creek.

There's plenty to keep friends and family entertained ashore, too, as the Club is open from early morning to late at night. There are also various activities throughout the week to keep the kids of all ages entertained, including a sandy beach right outside the Club, walks along the River Colne and Brightlingsea Creek, playgrounds, a seawater paddling pool, Brightlingsea's famous lido (one of the few remaining outdoor lidos still in operation), and the ever-popular crabbing from the Promenade or Brightlingsea Hard. All are within a few minutes' walk of the Club, so you can forget the car.

Pyefleet Week is organised and run by Brightlingsea Sailing Club members. The club operates an open door policy throughout the week and welcomes visiting sailors, their friends and families to our very special corner of Essex and all that Pyefleet Week has to offer.
